Each of the four MIDSA parts can be given as a separate inventory or they can be given in any combination. The following describes the Adult Male MIDSA:

• The Basic MIDSA Inventory includes Antisocial History, Lifetime Sexual Contact, Pornography Use, 43 scales, and Offense Planning and Child Molestation sections, where appropriate.
• Developmental History includes a timeline of all the adults with whom the respondent lived, family history, two scales representing the quality of relationships with each caregiver, vicarious violence, physical punishment and abuse, and sexual contact before the age of 18 (in which the respondent was victim, willing, or perpetrator).
• Social History includes school history, peer relationships, romantic relationships, work history (including military history for adults), and four scales (two ADHD scales and two aggression scales).
• The Full MIDSA Report includes all of the above modules.
